KUDOS finds a cost-effective path to cyber security

For the last 25 years, Kudos have been delivering software solutions for businesses in a wide range of sectors but in recent times the company has focused on the retail industry within the charity sector.

The EPOS systems that Kudos design and install make a genuine difference to the bottom line of charitable organisations. They use pioneering systems to create simple solutions for complex issues that enable these organisations to flourish in the modern, commercially driven world.

Kudos were well aware of how important cyber security was, so for a level of additional support they turned to us at BIT Security who steered them through the Cyber Essentials programme. Kudos had been looking for a partner to offer this but had struggled to find a compatible organisation. It was only when the South-West Cyber Security Forum, along with the local Devon and Cornwall Police recommended BIT Security that Kudos truly found a company they could work with.

Other organisations quoted for the job, but it was BIT Security that delivered the most sensible pricing structure that offered exactly what Kudos needed for a budget that fitted. Cyber Essentials certification is designed around five common security controls that help protect organisations against common attacks. Obtaining Cyber Essentials certification delivers peace of mind and demonstrates that current cyber controls are in place to protect against the vast majority of cyber issues.

Kudos, Customer Service Director, Nick Walker said: “Working with BIT Security was great for us at Kudos. Not only did they steer us through Cyber Essentials but they did it a way that we understood perfectly. I guess you would say that they ‘spoke our language’ and overall, the service delivered an impressive ‘bang for buck’ as well as a level of credibility that was important for us to secure, especially when you consider the work we do in the charitable sector.”
